Annual Foundation Golf Tournament Brings in $36,000 for Education

The 14th annual Great Locomotive Chase Golf Tournament, held May 10, 2010, yielded over $36,000. The monies raised will help the Southern Museum fund its educational programs and to bring in new artifacts and collections. The event was held at Brookstone Country Club.

The winning team was Chastain & Associates and included Kevin Jabbari, David Taylor, Joseph Yeganegi, and Matt Orvil

Tournament sponsors included Carrabba’s Italian Grill, O’Neill Communications, Legendary Graphics, Georgia Power, MacTec and Fontis Water.

Cobb County Sheriff Neil Warren was the honorary chairman and headed up the Tournament Committee which included Cindy Dadyala, David Grant, Debbie Underkoffler, Greg Turner, Jane Pies, Jeff Drobney, Kevin Jabbari, Leslie Edge, Mayor Mark Mathews, Mark Williams, Mike Henderson, Mike Schroeder, RJ Patel, Terry Pendley, and Tripp Boyer.
